Lakeside Taupo Motel

The 'lake view' was misleading unless you were outside and looking at an angle. The cleanliness was overshadowed by the dated room furnishings with well-worn bedding and broken chairs. Expect tight parking if you're rolling in with something larger. The necessity to provide a bond via email or phone before check-in was a hassle not commonly faced elsewhere.

Designed well, very comfortable,very clean, fully equipped,view unbelievable, close to town,car parking at rear was well designed, over all excellent I would stay there again.

I would liked to stay longer.

The spa bath was a total hit 🛁! Loved having a kitchenette to whip up meals. But man, those beds felt like rocks, and the exterior lights kept me up at night.

It was just an excellant experiance its location was good it was quiet and management and staff were there to serve and everything was clean would reaconmend and stay again

Thank you very much for a quite comfortable stay, would stay here again. This is a modern and stylish hotel, huge rooms. The restaurant serves simple local food.

Loved the cozy kitchenette and relaxing spa bath. The bed felt too hard, making it tough to sleep well.

We had a clean unit and a comfy bed, but the lack of air conditioning and the noisy exterior lights were a bit of a bother. Still, great location by the lake!

We enjoyed our stay at the Executive Motel, stall were friendly and accommodation was clean and comfortable. My only disappointment was that the spa bath was not working.

the gentleman who checked us in was awesome. very friendly and particularly generous about helping ourselves to the morning paper from the pile, because we were departing early in the morning. the parking facility was fantastic

we had a horrendous sleep there because the guests in the unit above were using the bathroom several times in the night and each time they turned the tap on the plumbing reverberated and made a noise that honestly sent you into next week.. we are tolerant and understanding that there is noise but not to this level. We would only stay there in future if we could be selective about which room we were in

For a great local meal, ask the managers for the best fish and chips. They have excellent recommendations.

Nice and clean and right across from Lake Taupo. Friendly owner as well.

Looks just like the pictures, very tidy and new. recommended. Plus they allowed us a late check out for free. Thank you
